Lynette Chandler

I recently retired as a professor and program coordinator in the Department of Special and Early Education at Northern Ilinois University where  I taught courses in early childhood special education to early childhood and special education teacher candidates. Prior to teaching at NIU, I taught at Southern Illinois University, and worked as a Research Associate and Instructor at Vanderbilt University. While I was in Illinois, I served as President of the National Division for Early Childhood, a subdivision for the Council for Exceptional Children and as President of the Illinois Division for Early Childhood. I also was able to serve on several state level committees, to participate on several early childhood initiatives within Illinois, and to work with a great group of early childhood and early childhood special educators throughout the state.
